A doctor at a hospital in the UK is using a new robot to help people lose weight faster. The robot is called “da Vinci Xi” and it’s being used for the first time at this hospital. The doctor says using the robot is like flying a plane because you need to use your hands, eyes, and feet. They hope the robot will make surgeries quicker because there have been fewer surgeries since the pandemic started.

The health service in the UK says they did not do as many weight loss surgeries last year because of the sickness that was going around. The hospital with the new robot wants to do surgeries faster and make people wait less time. The doctor says it takes time to learn how to use the robot, but it could make surgery better.

The robot, da Vinci Xi, is very smart and helps doctors do surgery without making big cuts. This means people hurt less, don’t have big scars, and get better quicker. The hospital wants to use this robot to take care of people who need to lose weight and to do more surgeries that they couldn’t do during the sickness.
