The Princess and the Potato

A princess falls in love with a humble peasant who brings her a plain potato.

Try this story at a different level?

In a faraway land, there was a nice princess named Penelope who loved potatoes more than anything. Her dad, the king, wanted her to get married. Many princes wanted to marry her, but she didn’t like any of them.

One day, a potato farmer named Pippin gave Penelope a perfect potato. She was so happy and said she would marry anyone who could bring her another great potato.

Everyone tried to find the best potato to win Penelope’s love. But none of the potatoes were as good as Pippin’s.

Then a simple man named Peter took a normal potato from his garden to the princess. The guards laughed at him, but Penelope decided to try his potato.

When she tasted Peter’s potato, she loved it. She said it was the best because it was given with love. Peter and the princess got married. The story shows that what’s inside a person is more important than things or looks. Being kind and true is what really counts.
