China’s Population Drops, Money Troubles Cause Concern

China's population decline raises concerns for the country's economy and workforce, but experts believe it can manage the transition to a more service-oriented sector.

Try this article at a different level?

In China, there are fewer people now than there were last year. There are 1.409 billion people, which is 2.08 million less than before. This is happening because not many babies are being born and living in the city is expensive. Even though the government wants more babies, young people don’t want to have them because they want to work and have money. People who know a lot about this say it’s because of the sickness that spread all over the world and other money problems.

China is also having a hard time with money. The country didn’t make as much money as it usually does, and it was one of the worst years for making money in a long time. There are not enough jobs for young people, and people are not buying as much stuff. The people who work and make money for the country are getting old, which is not good. But the smart people think China can change and do different kinds of work that don’t need as many people.
