The people who watch over fair business in the UK found that some food companies have been charging too much for things like baby food, beans, and pet food. These companies have been making more money than they should when the costs to make their products haven’t gone up that much. Because of this, many people are buying cheaper store brands instead of the famous brands, and the famous brands are not selling as well.

The people watching over fair business are really worried about how much the price of baby food has gone up. It’s gone up by a lot in two years. There are two big companies that sell most of the baby food, and parents aren’t buying cheaper kinds very much. The people watching over things think parents might not know enough to choose cheaper baby food and that the big companies don’t really try to make their prices better. They also said that parents could save money if they looked around for better prices.

Next, these fair business watchers are going to look more at how baby food is sold and also at special cards from grocery stores that give some customers lower prices. They’re going to check this out in 2024. They want to make sure that everyone has a chance to get discounts on important things they need for their homes and that grocery stores are using people’s personal information the right way.
