Duncan, The Cheeky Monkey

Once upon a time, deep in the lush jungle of the Amazon rainforest, there lived a mischievous little monkey named Duncan. He loved to swing from vine to vine, and make silly faces at the other animals.

Duncan was always getting into trouble. Every day he would either steal food from the other animals, or make a mess of their homes. He was so naughty that the other animals started calling him “the cheeky monkey”.

One day, Duncan decided to take a new adventure. He climbed up to the top of the highest tree in the jungle, and from there he could see for miles and miles. He was so amazed by the beautiful view that he forgot about all his mischief and just enjoyed the moment.

But as he was taking in the scenery, a strong gust of wind blew him right off the tree! He started to fall, but luckily he landed in the arms of a kind old elephant who had seen everything.

The elephant smiled and said, “Well, well, well…looks like you’re quite the adventurous little monkey!” Duncan was so embarrassed and apologised for all the trouble he had caused.

From that day on, Duncan decided to be a better monkey. He promised himself to never get into mischief again, and to always be kind to the other animals.

Duncan became an example for all the other monkeys in the jungle, and everyone soon forgot about his cheeky past.

The End.
