The Friendly Dragon

Try this story at a different level?

In a magic forest, there was a nice dragon named Fred. Fred was not like other dragons. He did not want to scare people. He wanted to make friends. But because he was big and could breathe fire, people were afraid of him. This made Fred very sad and lonely.

One day, Fred went for a walk to a place where kids were playing. The kids were scared at first, but then they saw that Fred was not mean. They looked at his shiny skin and saw his friendly eyes. They came closer to him.

A brave boy named Timmy asked Fred why he was so nice. Fred laughed and told Timmy he wanted to show that dragons can be good and help others. The kids liked this and decided to go on adventures with Fred. They flew to other places and helped the people there. They mended things, painted, and saved a cat from a tree. The people were happy and surprised. They saw that dragons could be friends.

The King heard about Fred and wanted to meet him. The King saw how nice Fred was and felt silly for being scared before. Fred was then everyone’s friend in the kingdom. The story tells us not to be afraid of someone just because they look different. You can find friends in places you don’t expect.
