A Chinese company called BYD is making more electric cars than Tesla. BYD’s shares went up because they said they will make more than double the money they made last year. BYD makes its own batteries, which helps it save money. This is different from Tesla, which buys batteries from other companies. China now makes and sells more cars than any other country in the world.

China is also the biggest market for electric cars. The Chinese government is giving people money to buy electric cars. BYD’s cheapest car costs $11,000, while Tesla’s cheapest car costs $36,000 in China. Tesla’s sales in China are going down, but BYD’s sales are going up. However, Tesla is still popular with young people in China.
