A man in Australia was rescued after spending over 30 hours hiding in an underground drain network, following a car crash and a series of suspicious actions.

Try this article at a different level?

A 38-year-old man in Australia was saved after he spent more than a day hiding in a big, underground pipe system. He first said he went into the pipes to get his phone back, but the police said he was actually hiding because he crashed his car into a police car. Firefighters helped him get out by opening a cover on the ground. He was a bit hurt and very cold but is okay now.

Someone walking by heard the man in the pipes and told the police. This person had seen the man the day before but thought he was fine. The next day, when he heard the man sounding like he needed help, he decided to do something. Before hiding, the man had been in a car chase with the police, hit a police car, and then ran away.

Now, the man is feeling better and is talking to the police about what happened. People are trying to understand why he did what he did. The police are still looking into the whole story to find out more.
